Gameplay / Re: Which Final Fantasy combat system do you prefer?
« on: January 30, 2014, 06:54:56 pm »
Almost forgot I made this thread.

I personally prefer the CTB, that which is exemplified in FFX.
The traditional turn based seems constricted when offered the flexibility and applications of the conditional presented in FFX.
ATB I appreciate the intense, fast-paced concentration of, but it can be too hectic at times to me.
I appreciate the time to deliberate strategy, which turn based in general grants you.

Climax at righteous and fantastic thought-out victory, or remorse at your tactically-planned failure.

My only regret is that once you become adapt at the system, enemies become fodder.
If the basic inclination of enemies were higher in strength, I believe the game would've excelled even further in it's combating prowess.

There's no reason to shoot the bullet at that which you know not the true nature of yet.

Story / Which Final Fantasy do you think has the best story?

The main games represent all respective offshoots of said games. For example, FFVII would also include Advent Children, Crisis Core, etc.

The Final Fantasy games are highly praised and acclaimed for their storylines.

You are the bringers of light...
Which do you think shines brightest?

They didn't.

There's no pertinence to Yunalesca's outfit and the sex-fayth method.

Tidus died, but was resurrected.

Check up on the novella page to inform yourself of all the information we've gathered so far.

Just because it's provided as information doesn't mean it's truth.

Chuami could have no sustenance in that claim.

FFX General / Re: What was the hardest boss, in your opinion?

Ahh, but I don't really count the Chocobo Eater as a real boss,
seeing as winning conventionally isn't the only way to advance the story.

Although, for that time, he can be difficult to beat.
Unique circumstances.

Surprisingly enough, by the time you unlock Nemesis, he's not that difficult to defeat.
Just like a more intimidating Greater Sphere; time-consuming. And more auto-life, but regardless.

Well, Sin coming back does have it's place in the storyline.

Sure, it would seem contrived to someone who takes account the first and second games,
but this new material provides plausible reasons for it's return
even though you may have wanted Nojima to go a completely separate route with a completely new villain.

I think there is more to this than Sin.
Sin won't be the main threat this go-around in Spira.
It'll be an asset of destruction to their adventure, yes,
but there is definitely some string-pulling going on behind the scenes here.

FFX-3 Speculation and Developments / Re: Instead of Final Fantasy X-3....

I still think the Braskian trio would've been if anything a fun little game to enjoy the nuances in.

I may be typing this with a high fever
but I don't think that a spinoff of Lenne's life in machina-war era Zanarkand would be terribly bad.
she's a very interesting character, I think
and they can build a lot off of that
and besides
I've always wanted to see what Yu Yevon was like when he was alive
and the exact conditions during the machina war for both Bevelle and Zanarkand.

or even
a spinoff concerning Yu Yevon's life in machina-war Zanarkand
that would be interesting
or something that delved into that time with a character full of backstory and potential.

but that could be the fever talking
so tell me if I'm off my nut here

FFX General / Re: tonberrys
« on: January 28, 2014, 01:45:47 pm »
Tonberries are most often found in the large green room with a treasure chest on the right fork off the main path, with the camera angle fixed at the entrance before.

It's not for sure you will get a ton more random encounters here with tonberries, but it's considerably more likely to find them there than otherwise.

Nojima is fleshing out these characters as people, with flaws.

It's not how we perceived them so far, but it's how he's decided to paint them in a post-Sin Spira.

It's unprecedented, and unwanted by a lot of people, I'm sure, but it's realistic. Nojima figured this was the best way to usher in a new story in the world of Spira.
After all, everybody has their faults.
He's just exploiting those in his characters.

What if they end up ruining it, however?

Not to harbour support against the game, but would you rather them not take the chance as to preserve what image you have of the series so far?

If only for Kimahri's self destruct overdrive.

I love Kimahri as a character, don't get me wrong,
but there's something so satisfying having the boss go down on a BOOM.

Oh, my.

That's quite the load of new information.

I'll update the Original Post once I get my bearings on all this information. Is this a trusty source, TresDias? Or anybody else who knows about that site?

Ahh, nevermind that. After thoroughly reading, I see this is a trustworthy source. I shall update the Original Post as soon as possible.
Get the word out about this new information!
