If you could choose to keep the games the same with none of this novella nonsense, what sort of path would you want it to head down?
I know that a lot of people talked about a game with Braska, Jecht, and Auron, but I personally would love to see a Paine, Nooj, Baralai, and Gippal spin-off.
Spin-offs are good I think surely you jest
BUT if you did want a Final Fantasy X-3, what would you want it to focus on if you aren't a fan of what we sort of know so far? Idk what it is with me but I would love for Rikku and Nhadala to have a game surely you jest, it's random but it would be awesome. Maybe Nhadala could straighten Rikku out and we could have our original darling back (FFX Rikku ftw<3)

I still think the Braskian trio would've been if anything a fun little game to enjoy the nuances in.

I may be typing this with a high fever
but I don't think that a spinoff of Lenne's life in machina-war era Zanarkand would be terribly bad.
she's a very interesting character, I think
and they can build a lot off of that
and besides
I've always wanted to see what Yu Yevon was like when he was alive
and the exact conditions during the machina war for both Bevelle and Zanarkand.
or even
a spinoff concerning Yu Yevon's life in machina-war Zanarkand
that would be interesting
or something that delved into that time with a character full of backstory and potential.
but that could be the fever talking
so tell me if I'm off my nut here

Those are both awesome ideas! I'd love to see the farplane explored a bit more and the history of Spira pre Sin.

I agree with city. I want a spinoff set in the world of the Farplane during X-2, featuring all our favourite dead heroes. It has a lot of potential, I feel.
Also, I recall hearing in one of X-2's Fiend Tales that there was the possibility of a Fiend World existing. Basically it was a world located between Spira and the Farplane that got its connection from Spira severed many years ago. Now that's potential right there alongside the Farplane idea. Instead of one world map, why not two? I'm sure the PS4 can handle that somehow.

Whoawhoa that would be frikken sweet. It reminds me a bit of FFII where for the GBA release when you could play the Soul of Rebirth after the main story where you could use the fallen heroes in a new game. I always loved that concept, and I could totally see how the Farplane could be used as that sort of thing. There is so much to it we don't know and understand. Like in X it's just a place where you can see your loved ones, but in X2 you can actually enter it!?! Maybe the Farplane is a bridging world between Spira and the "Fiend World"?

I would've thought a pre-quel featuring Jecht, Braska and Auron would be ideal.
