Hey guys I'm new to these forums just made an account, and just like most of you guys, I was pretty enraged with the cliff hanger left in the FFX Audio Drama, are there any new updates with FFX-3 news?

There hasn't been any new material for a while. Seems nobody wants to mention the drama, let alone the novel.

I don't blame 'em.

That's a bummer, I personally don't think they'll announce anything until FFXV is released or near release. I know they have the power to make it during FFXV but I don't see them doing so, I personally don't see any announcement coming until next year or couple years after.

another question is, if they received so much negative feedback on the audio drama/novella, wouldn't that make them not want to make ffx-3 ?

I think what happened was that Nojima wrote the drama and novella with the intentions of continuing with an X-3, since he expressed his want to do so. However, the incredible backlash against the material put Square Enix off the decision. Not even the Japanese fans liked the new add-ons, and they were pretty okay with the XIII sequels from what I've heard.

Think about it: a few days before the HD Remaster's release, Nojima expresses his positive opinion of a new entry, and even says he has a full idea of what the story would be like if it ever came to fruition. Then all the negativity and controversy came, and now SE comes out and says that the new material was just to 'expand the world of Spira'. It really can't be coincidence.
